This page will showcase some of the Notable Women who have been involved with Zonta, as well as notable women in the State of Minnesota who have contributed to advancing the status of women either directly, or indirectly by example.

 

Coya Knutson:  Coya Knutson was the first and only woman from Minnesota to serve in the U.S. Congress.  She received the 1999 Distinguished Minnesotan Award (posthumously) from Bemidji State University.  A more complete biography of Ms. Knutson can be found by following this link: http://info.bemidji.msus.edu/news/events/others/archive/distinguished.html
