Zonta cleans up highway Keeping with tradition, we picked the hottest day of the summer (so far) when Zonta Club did their highway clean-up this week. Between the heat and the bugs, we managed to pick up 19 bags of garbage. Our thanks to MNDOT for providing this great opportunity to help make our community a healthier and cleaner place to live. Working with them is great and, best of all, they pick up the orange bags and dispose of them when we finish. Thanks to President Carol Munns and husband, Grant, Lila and Harold Moen, Marlene and Tom Larson, Joyce Good, Thalia Duffield, Yvonne Leiser, Char and Dick Wayt, Sandra Bainbridge, Lynnette Wagner and her friends. Finally, I would like to remind people not to litter, however I realize that people that read this column probably are not that thoughtless. We did find two good golf balls. Our area is about ten miles from the golf course. Wow, some shot! Sara Dunlap, Highway Clean-up Coordinator, Zonta Club of Brainerd
